Oman's Grand Mufti calls on all Muslims to stand firmly against Zionist crimes in Gaza
[03/ July/2025]
Muscat – Saba:

Grand Mufti of the Sultanate of Oman Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad al-Khalili called on all Muslims on Thursday to take a firm stand against the horrific Zionist crimes against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

Sheikh al-Khalili also called on "all free people who love peace and are inclined toward justice and fairness in the world to take a firm stand to stop the unprecedented Zionist crimes."

Al-Khalili said in a post on "X" platform "The succession of Zionist crimes in the dear land of Gaza and the ongoing killing of its peaceful people under the eyes and ears of the world—including Muslims—is an unforgivable crime. It is enough for us that the killing of souls is a crime whose punishment is severe."

The Grand Mufti of Oman considered that failure to condemn these Zionist crimes against the Palestinian people constitutes participation in the crime.

He asked, "Where are the slogans of peace and where are human rights?! Why are people's sanctities violated and their rights trampled on? And those who advocate for human rights support this! Isn't it time for the world to wake up from its stupor and realize that all of this is nothing but shame and disgrace for civilized nations? God is our helper, and on Him alone we can rely."

With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has continued to commit crimes of genocide in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, resulting in the martyrdom of 57,130 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 135,173 others, as of Thursday.

This is a preliminary toll, with thousands of victims still under the rubble and on the streets, unable to be reached by ambulance and rescue crews.
