A Russian military source announced that Ukrainian forces are killing their wounded or surrendering personnel in order to intimidate those attempting to flee and surrender to Russian forces.
The Russian news agency "Novosti" quoted a Russian soldier from the 36th Separate Guards Motorized Artillery Brigade of the "East" Group of Forces, nicknamed "Spartak," as saying: "We would capture some of them, and they would kill their own personnel."
Spartak added, "Drones, artillery, and mortar fire would arrive, and they would try to kill the wounded or captured... apparently so that no one else would surrender."
