Ankara - Saba:

A leadership delegation from the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), headed by the head of the Shura Council and Leadership Council, Mohammed Darwish, held a series of important meetings with the Turkish leadership in the capital, Ankara, as part of its political and diplomatic efforts to halt the ongoing Zionist aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

Hamas stated, in a press release received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that its delegation had met over the past two days with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and the head of the Turkish Intelligence Service, Ibrahim Kalin.

During the meetings, the two sides discussed the latest developments in the brutal Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, international efforts to halt the genocide and lift the blockade, and ways to strengthen regional and international action to halt this unjust war and provide urgent humanitarian support to the besieged Palestinian people.

The movement's leadership expressed its deep appreciation for Turkey's steadfast and supportive stance toward the Palestinian people and their just cause, as well as for the political and humanitarian efforts exerted by the Republic of Turkey to halt the aggression on Gaza and alleviate the worsening humanitarian suffering in the Strip.

According to a Hamas press release, the Turkish leadership affirmed its support for the rights of the Palestinian people and its commitment to halting the aggression on the Gaza Strip. It also emphasized that this issue remains a priority in its regional and international efforts, despite the challenges and rapid developments in the region.
