The Ministry of Interior and National Security in the Gaza Strip warned on Thursday against any form of direct or indirect dealings, cooperation, or engagement with the U.S.-based organization called the "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation" (GHF) or its local agents, under any name or circumstance.
In a statement, the ministry said, "It has become clear that this institution was not established for the purpose of relief or alleviating the suffering of our besieged and starving people. Instead, it has turned—due to its structure and security-military mechanisms—into traps for mass death and centers of humiliation and systematic violation of dignity and human rights, far from any international or legal oversight."
The ministry confirmed that this has resulted in the martyrdom of hundreds of Palestinians by Israeli enemy gunfire or being crushed by military vehicles near these centers, in addition to hundreds of wounded and many others arbitrarily arrested in the vicinity of these suspicious facilities.
The ministry pointed to serious violations committed by the Israeli enemy in coordination with the American GHF, including attempts to recruit Palestinian citizens to work in these centers under "logistical" or "security" fronts. Based on the Palestinian Penal Code and Revolutionary Law, which criminalize cooperation with the enemy, facilitating its operations, or engaging in activities that serve its goals—directly or indirectly—the ministry emphasized that legal deterrent measures will be taken against anyone proven to be involved with this organization, up to the maximum penalties under applicable national laws.
The ministry called on all citizens, community leaders, families, and media outlets to exercise national awareness and uphold their moral and legal responsibility in rejecting these malicious attempts targeting the Palestinian people from within.
