Sana'a (Saba) – A workshop was held at the Ministry of Administration and Local and Rural Development to discuss value chains for dairy, tomato, mango, and meat products, the workshop was organized by the Ministry with the participation of the Ministries of Economy and Industry, Agriculture and Fisheries, and Social Affairs, the Hodeidah Support and Development Fund, the Tihama Development Authority, the Agricultural Cooperative Union, the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit, the Bonyan Foundation, and dairy factories and associations.
At the opening of the workshop, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Administration and Local and Rural Development, Mohammed Al-Madani, emphasized that the workshop aims to develop an executive plan to address the risks of the expiration of the temporary government subsidy on milk purchase prices, it also aims to develop practical solutions for dairy products, the tomato slump, mango sales, improving meat prices, delivering support to the poor, and unifying efforts to overcome any obstacles to the success of value chains.
