Sergio Ramos, captain of Mexican side Monterrey, expressed his pride in his team's performance despite their 2-1 loss to Borussia Dortmund, which led to his team's exit from the 2025 Club World Cup in the round of 16.
In statements reported by the official FIFA website, Ramos said: "Our fans and everyone who understands football saw that the team gave everything it had in this match."
The veteran Spanish star added: "Sometimes things go your way in football, and other times you have to accept defeat with pride because we played a great match from start to finish."
