Tulkarm - Saba:

The Zionist enemy bulldozers continued to demolish residential buildings in the Tulkarm and Nur Shams camps on Tuesday, coinciding with the 156th consecutive day of aggression against the city and its camp, and the 143rd day against the Nur Shams camp.

The Palestinian News Agency (Wafa) reported that the enemy bulldozers continued to demolish buildings in the two camps amid heavy military reinforcements.

This is a continuation of previous demolition operations carried out over the past days and weeks in Balawneh, al-Akasha, al-Nadi, al-Sawalmeh, al-Hammam, and al-Madaris neighborhoods in Tulkarm camp, and in al-Manshiyeh, al-Maslakh, al-Eyada, and al-Jami' neighborhoods in the Nur Shams camp.

This ongoing escalation comes in implementation of a plan announced by the Israeli enemy authorities last May, which called for the demolition of 106 buildings in both camps.

These included 58 buildings in Tulkarm camp alone, comprising more than 250 housing units and dozens of commercial establishments, in addition to 48 buildings in Nour Shams camp, under the pretext of clearing roads and changing geographical features.

Yesterday, Israeli enemy forces notified 104 homes and buildings in Tulkarm camp of the demolition, allegedly for military purposes. They gave homeowners a 72-hour deadline to remove their belongings, starting tomorrow, Wednesday, and continuing throughout the next week.

Meanwhile, Israeli enemy forces continue to impose a tight siege on the two camps and their surroundings, with infantry units and military vehicles deployed in alleyways and entrances, preventing residents from reaching their homes or checking on their belongings, amid direct gunfire targeting anyone approaching the area.

Meanwhile, the city today witnessed the deployment of foot soldiers patrolling its main streets, specifically Nablus Street and the central market.

The enemy forces obstructed the movement of citizens and vehicles, firing live ammunition and sound bombs at them. Meanwhile, military vehicles patrolled the streets and neighborhoods, honking their horns in a provocative manner and driving against traffic, endangering the lives of citizens.

The enemy forces continue to transform Nablus Street into a military barracks by continuing to seize several residential buildings there, along with parts of the city's northern neighborhood, specifically those facing Tulkarm refugee camp, and parts of the eastern neighborhood near the camp. This has been achieved after forcibly evacuating residents, some of whom have been under enemy control for more than four months.

This is accompanied by the deployment of heavy machinery and bulldozers in the vicinity.

This street, which serves as a link between Tulkarm and Nur Shams refugee camps, has also suffered significant damage due to the earth mounds erected by enemy forces several months ago.

This is compounded by a heavy enemy presence, which erects flying and surprise checkpoints, impeding vehicle movement and exacerbating the suffering of citizens.

In the same context, the enemy forces continue their crippling measures at the city's entrances, especially Anab military checkpoint east of Tulkarm, which they close almost permanently, preventing vehicles from passing.

The enemy forces also periodically set up a flying checkpoint at Jabara Bridge at the southern entrance to the city, exacerbating the suffering of residents and complicating their daily movement.

The ongoing aggression has so far resulted in the deaths of 13 civilians, including a child and two women, one of whom was eight months pregnant. It has also resulted in dozens of injuries and arrests, as well as widespread destruction of infrastructure, homes, shops, and vehicles.

The escalation has led to the forced displacement of more than five thousand families from the two camps, representing over 25,000 citizens.

It has also led to the complete destruction of more than 500 homes and partial damage to 2,573 others. The entrances to the camps remain closed with barricades, transforming them into almost lifeless areas.
