Sana'a Security Department held on Tuesday a speech event to commemorate Ashura under the slogan "Humiliation is Out of Our Hands," expressing support for the Palestinian people.
Governor Abdulbasit al-Hadi stressed drawing lessons from Imam Hussein's life, emphasizing courage and sacrifice in confronting oppression.
Al-Hadi urged security personnel to enhance services and warned against neglecting divine duties. Al-Hadi linked the Yemeni people's resistance against aggression and support for Palestine to Imam Hussein's jihadist path.
During the event, Sheikh Abdulkarim Atef reviewed Imam Hussein's life and struggle against tyranny.
Following the ceremony, the Inspector General's branch was inaugurated to improve the province's security apparatus.
Major General Abdullah al-Hadi, Inspector General of the Ministry of Interior, stated this new branch, coinciding with Ashura, implements directives from the Revolutionary and Interior Ministry leadership to activate oversight and performance evaluation.
He emphasized halting irregularities and ensuring accountability, stressing divine oversight before human or official scrutiny. The branch will assist the Security Director in deterring violations.
