Chairmanship of the Shura Council in the capital Sana'a convened on Tuesday, chaired by Council Speaker Mohammed al-Aidarous.

The meeting focused on reviewing the annual report of the Community Committee and the societal activities undertaken by council members for the year 1446 AH.

The annual report showcased a significant level of community engagement, detailing 4,152 field activities across cultural, social, and media domains. These initiatives included contributions to resolving issues and implementing community-based projects.

The Chairmanship commended the active involvement of both the council members and the Community Committee. It stressed the importance of increased efforts in addressing community concerns, assisting in resolving societal issues, and reporting the public's essential service needs to the Council Chairmanship.

A key point of discussion was the necessity of educating the community about the enemies' schemes and conspiracies. The council emphasized the importance of enhancing security awareness and vigilance to counter plots targeting national security, stability, and public tranquility.

The Chairmanship also lauded the general directives issued by the Revolution Leader, the Supreme Political Council, and the Government of Change and Construction. These directives have significantly contributed to reinforcing and stabilizing security and economic conditions across the Republic's governorates.

The council also reviewed a report presented by Engineer Lutf al-Jarmouzi, head of the Political, Foreign Relations, and Expatriates Committee. This report focused on developing relations between the Shura Council and the Association of Senates, Shura, and Similar Councils in Africa and the Arab world.

The aim is to provide recommendations and practical mechanisms to activate the council's role within the association and enhance its regional parliamentary presence. The Presidency approved the report, incorporating the feedback received.

Furthermore, the Chairmanship discussed the general directives for the council and committees' work plan for the year 1447 AH. It underscored the importance of integrating all directives from the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the Government of Change and Construction's program into the committees' plans for the current year.

Mohammed al-Durra, Deputy Speaker for Organizational Affairs, was tasked with following up with the permanent committees. His role will be to urge them to include all recent developments in their plans and programs, ensuring alignment with general directives and responsiveness to the current reality and its requirements.

The meeting concluded with a review and approval of the tasks from the previous meeting and other agenda items.
