Jabeur lost the first set in a tiebreak against her Bulgarian opponent, Viktoriya Tomova, and was trailing in the second set by two games without reply before withdrawing from the match held on Monday due to injury.
The 30-year-old Tunisian player, a finalist in 2022 and 2023, suffered the injury during the first set, which forced her to leave the court for treatment. After two games in the second set, Jaber decided not to continue the match.
