Moscow - Saba:
Vladimir Medinsky, Assistant to the Russian President, Russia's chief negotiator with Ukraine, and President of the Russian Military-Historical Society, emphasized that the historical destiny of Russia and Ukraine is one and the same, and they constitute one nation.
In an interview with TASS, Medinsky added that for this reason, the Russian Military-Historical Society does not produce separate content for Ukrainian children.
In response to a question about the possibility of enabling students in Ukraine to learn about a different point of view through the information space, Medinsky said: "When we produce historical content, we do not differentiate between Ukrainian and Russian children, and we do not create a special 'Ukrainian' product."
He continued: "We respect—and even know and love—the history of the talented and hardworking people who inhabit the ancient Russian lands on both banks of the Dnieper River, the Novorossiya region, and Crimea. We are one people, and our historical homeland is one."
Medinsky expressed his hope that Ukrainian students and adults would soon have free access to the Russian internet.
