Dhamar - SABA:

A cultural event was organized today in Jabal Al-Sharq District, Dhamar Governorate to mark the anniversary of the noble Hijra (Prophet Muhammad’s migration) — peace and blessings be upon him and his family.

During the event, attended by members of the Executive Office and the Mobilization Committee, Director of the Endowments Authority in the district, Naji Atef, highlighted the significance of commemorating the Hijra and the circumstances surrounding the Prophet’s migration from Mecca to Medina. He also reviewed key historical events and the spiritual and strategic gains of the blessed migration for Islam and Muslims.

Al-Ezzi Hadi, head of religious guidance, emphasized that the Hijra anniversary serves as an important occasion to draw lessons from the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), stressing the need to uphold Islamic values and emulate the noble character of the Prophet.

Meanwhile, cultural activist Majed Al-Gholaisi spoke about the prominent role of Yemenis in supporting the Prophet during his migration, particularly the tribes of Aws and Khazraj, who welcomed and supported him upon his arrival in Medina. He noted that today’s Yemenis truly embody the spirit of the early Muhajireen and Ansar, having long upheld the faith and supported the Prophet’s mission since the early days of Islam.
