The 10th charitable medical camp for dermatology and venereal diseases, along with the 3rd medical camp for obstetrics and gynecology, was launched on Saturday at Al-Shaheed Ali Abdul-Mughni Hospital in Al-Sadda District, Ibb province.
The four-day medical camp aims to provide free healthcare services in dermatology, obstetrics, and gynecology, conduct various laboratory tests, and distribute free medications.
During the inauguration, Adel Al-Bahm, the director of public mobilization in the district, and Abdulkarim Al-Amari, head of the Planning and Finance Committee in the local council, emphasized that organizing such specialized free medical camps plays a vital role in alleviating the burdens and suffering of patients amid the country's current difficult circumstances.
They praised the efforts of the medical team in assisting those in need and providing necessary healthcare, as well as the role of Al-Shaheed Ali Abdul-Mughni Hospital in offering support, facilities, and medical services to the residents of Al-Sadda, Al-Nadira, and neighboring districts.
Meanwhile, the head of the medical camp, Dr. Mas’ad Shuhait, stated that the camp is dedicated to receiving and examining dermatological, gynecological, and obstetric cases. He noted that on its first day, the camp received 492 cases, including 367 dermatological cases , 125 obstetrics and gynecology cases.
He appreciated the support of the local authorities and Al-Shaheed Ali Abdul-Mughni Hospital for the free medical camps aimed at helping those in need of healthcare and providing them with free treatment.
For his part, the hospital director, Dr. Sharif Al-Zubaidi, stressed the importance of medical camps given the current circumstances in the country to ease citizens' suffering.
He explained that the camp is part of a series organized by dermatology, venereology, and infertility consultant Dr. Mas’ad Shuhait and obstetrics and gynecology consultant Dr. Doaa Shuhait, embodying the values of charity and social solidarity.
