The funeral procession for the Iranian martyrs killed in the recent Zionist aggression began from Revolution Square to Freedom Square in Tehran, attended by large crowds of Iranians from various segments of society and military officials.
IRNA reported that Brigadier General Hassan Hassanzadeh, commander of the Mohammad Rasool Allah (PBUH) Corps of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in Tehran, announced in a press conference on Friday that the funeral procession for the martyrs killed in the recent Zionist aggression will be held in Tehran this morning, Saturday. He considered the people's participation in the ceremony to be one of the "True Promise" operations.
Brigadier General Hassanzadeh said that the presence of young people, women, and various segments of the population, along with the Husseini processions during these days of Muharram, will add a special splendor to the ceremony.
Brigadier General Hassanzadeh emphasized that this presence, which will be conducted with all dignity and grandeur, will be one of the "True Promise" operations.
He noted that the bodies of a number of martyred armed forces commanders will be buried today, Saturday. He said that the bodies of several commanders at various levels, as well as their relatives from the security forces, the army, and the Revolutionary Guards, have been buried in recent days.
He added that Saturday's ceremony is in fact a symbolic national funeral to honor the memory of all the country's martyrs.
He continued: "At this ceremony, the bodies of a number of martyred commanders and scholars will be buried, in addition to various segments of society and defenseless family members, including a number of children."
The Zionist occupation, with American support, launched a large-scale aggression against Iran on June 13, which lasted 12 days, targeting military and nuclear sites, in addition to civilian facilities, military commanders, and nuclear scientists.
Iran responded with extensive attacks, dubbed "Operation True Promise 3," which included ballistic missiles and drones targeting military, intelligence, and vital sites within the occupied territoriesŲ²
At the height of the escalation, the United States launched military strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities, while Iran responded with an attack targeting the US Al Udeid airbase in Qatar.
