Sa'ada governor Mohammed Awad on Saturday officially inaugurated the new academic year 1447 AH.
During the inauguration ceremony, held at al-Saeed Educational Complex, al-Tawhid Secondary School for Girls in Sa'ada district, and al-Rasoul al-A'dham School in Rahban, Sahar district, governor Awad lauded the dedication of educational leaders and teachers in sustaining the educational process amidst the prevailing circumstances.
He affirmed the local authority's unwavering support for the education sector, within the bounds of available resources, and reiterated its commitment to ensuring this year is marked by distinction, learning, and knowledge.
The Governor urged students to diligently focus on their lessons and curriculum, striving for academic excellence to achieve the highest educational levels.
For his part, the education sector official praised the remarkable student turnout this year, which he noted reflects a growing community awareness of education's vital importance, despite the challenges imposed by the ongoing aggression and blockade.
He emphasized the crucial need for concerted official and community efforts to guarantee the success of the school year, revealing that approximately 210,000 students are enrolled for the new academic year across all schools in the governorate.
