Iran demands WHO condemn Zionist-American military aggression
[27/ June/2025]
Geneva - Saba:
Ali Bahreini, Iran's Permanent Ambassador and Representative to the United Nations in Geneva, has formally called on the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) to condemn the recent military attacks launched by the Zionist entity and the United States against Iran.

In an official letter, Bahreini denounced the "illegal and unjustified Zionist-American military attacks on Iranian territory," urging the WHO to condemn these actions and take decisive measures to hold the perpetrators accountable.

Bahreini emphasized that the Zionist attacks had damaged seven hospitals and medical centers across Iran, resulting in the deaths of 627 people—including medical staff and rescue workers—and injuring 4,935 others.

In another part of the letter, Iran's UN envoy highlighted the catastrophic consequences of the deliberate attacks by the Zionist entity and the U.S. on Iran's peaceful nuclear facilities. He warned that these actions endanger the lives of people in Iran and the region, stressing that they violate the WHO's constitution and approved resolutions.

Earlier, Iran’s Minister of Health, Treatment, and Medical Education, Mohammad Reza Zafarqandi, had separately addressed the Zionist regime’s illegal attacks on Iranian medical centers in a letter, calling on the WHO to condemn these measures.
