Lebanese Health Ministry: Death toll from Israeli airstrikes rises to one dead, 21 wounded
[27/ June/2025]
Beirut – Saba:

The death toll from Israeli airstrikes on southern Lebanon rose to one dead and 21 wounded on Friday, in a new violation of the ceasefire agreement in effect since last November.

The Lebanese Ministry of Public Health's Emergency Operations Center announced in a statement that the number of wounded as a result of the Israeli enemy's attack on an apartment in al-Nabatieh had risen to 14.

The statement explained that the preliminary toll of today's enemy airstrikes, which began with a series of attacks on valleys and hills in southern Lebanon and continued with the targeting of the apartment in al-Nabatieh, resulted in one dead and 21 wounded.

The National News Agency in Lebanon reported that an Israeli enemy drone launched an airstrike targeting an apartment on the second floor of Palma-Berjawi building on al-Nabatieh-Nabatieh al-Fawqa road, and fired a guided missile, causing extensive damage to the apartment and to the surrounding buildings and shops.

It reported that the raid resulted in the death of Afaf Muhammad Asaad Shahrour (Umm Wissam, wife of Sabri al-Shaer). She had returned to Lebanon less than a month ago from Germany, where she and her family live, to visit her daughter and sister. She was in her apartment at the time of the attack.

She indicated that the raid caused significant damage to nearby shops and apartments, shattering the windows of dozens of homes over a wide area.
