Al Khalil – SABA:
Several Palestinian civilians suffered from suffocation on Thursday after Israeli occupation forces stormed Beit Ummar town, north of Al Khalil, and fired toxic tear gas during their incursion.
According to local media activist Mohammad Awad, Israeli forces entered the town with a number of military vehicles, deploying in the center and several neighborhoods. They fired live ammunition, rubber bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas toward residents, leading to multiple cases of suffocation, which were treated on the spot.
Awad also reported that Israeli soldiers deliberately threw a stun grenade into a local restaurant, causing material damage.
Meanwhile, the occupation forces set up a military checkpoint at Al-Sahib junction in southern Hebron, where they stopped and searched Palestinian vehicles, further disrupting daily life.
In a separate incident, the occupation army also raided the historic Solomon’s Pools area, located between the town of Al-Khader and the village of Artas, south of Bethlehem. Local sources said that Israeli forces stationed themselves near the third pool, stopped passing vehicles, and detained passengers without providing any justification.
These repeated incursions and provocations are part of the Israeli escalation in the occupied West Bank, further exacerbating tensions and putting civilian lives and property at continuous risk.
