Iranian authorities arrested a spy in the Tehran metro on Thursday.
The Iranian Mehr News Agency quoted Brigadier General Montazer al-Mahdi, spokesman for Iran's Internal Security Forces, as saying, "Tehran Metro Police became suspicious of a person while he was traveling, and he was immediately arrested."
He added, "Through an examination of his technical equipment and mobile phone, it was found that he had recorded military and sensitive sites using an electronic chip and sent them to unknown numbers. He also received instructions in Hebrew."
He continued, "The accused, along with the seized equipment, was handed over to the specialized police and judicial authorities for further investigation."
