A five-day training course on food additives, organized by the Yemen Standards, Metrology, and Quality Control Authority, concluded on Thursday in the caital Sana'a.
The course equipped 24 trainees from the Authority and private sector companies with knowledge on the health and scientific aspects of food additives, particularly those in confectionery and beverages.
Abu al-Hasan al-Nahari, Deputy Director General, emphasized the course's importance in boosting technical staff efficiency and awareness of additive risks and benefits to ensure consumer safety and product quality.
He urged continued learning and practical application of knowledge to protect public health and enhance the national food industry.
