Sana’a – SABA:
The Board of Directors of the Rural Electricity Authority held a meeting today, chaired by Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water, Dr. Ali Saif, to discuss the authority’s plan for the year 1447 AH.
The meeting, attended by Deputy Minister Adel Bader, Board Chairman Eng. Abduljabbar Al-Shami, board member Mohammed Al-Sanahani, Finance Ministry representative Mohammed Al-Atmi, private sector representative Ahmed Zabara, and NGO representative Dr. Angela Abu Asbaa, reviewed the performance of projects implemented during 1446 AH and discussed the challenges facing operations along with measures to address them.
The attendees reviewed projects implemented with support from the UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) and prioritized target areas. The discussion also included improving administrative, financial, and technical operations of the council.
The meeting emphasized the importance of enhancing the Rural Electricity Authority’s performance to overcome current challenges resulting from the ongoing aggression and blockade. It also stressed the need for collective responsibility to empower the council’s role in improving services to society.
