The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, confirmed on Monday that the US attack lifted any restrictions on the armed forces to carry out any action against them.
Iran's Mehr News Agency quoted Major General Mousavi as saying in a message responding to the aggressive US attack on Iran: "America, in its continued comprehensive support for the barbaric and aggressive Zionist regime, has openly and directly entered the war, violating Iran's sovereignty and the sanctity of our country's territory."
