Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Jamal Amer, met today with Reyhaneh Zawar, Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS).
During the meeting, Minister Amer was briefed on the activities of the UNOPS office and its efforts in liaising with donor agencies.
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to facilitating the work of UNOPS and stressed that the Government of Change and Reconstruction grants numerous privileges to maritime shipping companies arriving through the port of Hodeidah. These measures aim to ease the operations of international governmental and non-governmental organizations working in the humanitarian and relief sectors.
For her part, Reyhaneh Zawar expressed appreciation for the significant role played by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in supporting and enabling the successful operations of the UNOPS office.
