Sultan al-Samai, a member of the Supreme Political Council, on Sunday affirmed that the United States' targeting of Iranian nuclear facilities exposes the falsity of American claims to protect global security.
In a statement, al-Samai explained that the American bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities constitutes an escalation of war in the region, portending disastrous repercussions.
He stated, "Targeting nuclear facilities under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency exposes the falsity of American claims about protecting global security and Washington's disregard for international law."
Al-Samai argued that the American-Israeli aggression is not solely against Iran but aims to undermine Tehran's firm support for the Palestinian cause and the oppressed Palestinian people facing genocide in Gaza.
He challenged the international community, stating the aggression is "a real test: either side with justice and respect for the sovereignty of states, or fall into the quagmire of political hypocrisy and complicity in crime."
Al-Samai concluded by warning that relying on force only intensifies conflict and unites regional peoples against projects of hegemony and neo-colonialism.
