On Saturday, the Zionist enemy forces carried out a large-scale arrest campaign targeting 16 Palestinian citizens from the Hebron Governorate after raiding their homes, searching them, and vandalizing their contents.
Security and local sources reported to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) that the enemy forces raided the al-Namous al-Fuqa neighborhood in the town of Dura, southwest of Hebron, and arrested Jihad al-Sabbar and his two sons, Faisal and Fadi, and seized agricultural materials and fertilizers from their nursery.
They also raided Khirbet Iskak in the village of Deir al-Asal al-Tahta in the town of Dura and arrested Amjad, sons of Muhammad; Muhammad Ibrahim, sons of Muhammad; the brothers Ismail, Yousef, Ibrahim, and Majed Muhammad, sons of Muhammad; Bara' Yusef, sons of Muhammad; Omar Ismail, sons of Muhammad; and Ismail Muhammad, sons of Muhammad.
Israeli forces also arrested two citizens, Othman and Bilal Masalma, during their raid on the town of Beit Awwa, southwest of Hebron. They also raided the town of Halhul, to the north, and arrested citizens Reda Muhammad al-Wawi and Rasim Younis Muhammad Hasan Hermas, taking them to an unknown location.
Sources indicated that Israeli forces severely beat and abused a number of detainees during their raids on their homes and arrests.
Separately, Israeli forces set up several military checkpoints at the entrances to Hebron and its towns, villages, and refugee camps, and closed several main and secondary roads with iron gates, concrete blocks, and earth mounds.
