Niamey - (Saba):
At least 34 soldiers were killed and 14 others wounded in an attack by militants on an army base near the border with Mali.
A statement broadcast on state television on Saturday said the attackers used eight vehicles and more than 200 motorcycles in the assault on the base in Beni Banjo.
ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack.
