Hamas affirmed on Friday that there is no solution to the Palestinian refugee issue except ending the Zionist aggression and returning to the homes from which they were displaced.
In a statement on the occasion of World Refugee Day, Hamas called for the prosecution of the leaders of the Israeli enemy for their crimes against humanity, and for effective action to end the aggression and isolate this fascist entity that threatens peace and security in the world.
It considered that the world's celebration of World Refugee Day, in light of the ongoing crime of genocide and starvation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, which has exacerbated the conditions of refugees and displaced persons, places the international community before a political, legal, humanitarian, and moral responsibility to put an end to the Zionist aggression and criminality.
Hamas stated "The ongoing aggressive war against the camps in the occupied West Bank, through systematic destruction and displacement, is a dangerous escalation in targeting the refugee issue and obliterating its foundations."
It added: "The right of return of refugees to their homes from which they were displaced by the Israeli enemy is an individual and collective right, recognized by international laws, conventions, and UN resolutions. No one has the right to retreat from it, relinquish it, bargain over it, or waive it."
The movement affirmed its categorical rejection of "all Zionist attempts, with the support of the US administration, aimed at eliminating, marginalizing, and abolishing the role of UNRWA, or transferring its mandate to any other entity, particularly in the distribution of aid and relief."
