Araqchi said in a statement that "Iran will make the aggressor regret its great mistake," emphasizing in official statements that the entire world must now know that Iran is only acting in self-defense, according to the Iranian Mehr News Agency on Thursday.
He added, "Even in the face of the most heinous forms of aggression against our people, Iran has so far only responded to the occupying Israeli entity, and has not targeted those who aided or incited it."
Araqchi said, "Just as Netanyahu ignited this war to destroy the diplomatic track, the world must be extremely vigilant against the weak Israeli entity's attempts to drag others into its rescue and expand this war to the region and beyond."
Araghchi emphasized, "Iran has demonstrated in practice what it has always and publicly pledged: it has never sought and will never seek nuclear weapons. Otherwise, what better pretext could there be than the current aggression by the region's only nuclear-armed state, under which we could pursue the development of such inhumane weapons?"
He concluded his statement by emphasizing that Iran will proudly and courageously continue to exercise its right to self-defense and will force the aggressor to pay the price for its grave mistake.
