Sana’a – Saba:
The Economic Empowerment Team in Sana’a Governorate, chaired by Governor Abdul Basit Al-Hadi, held a meeting today to discuss the summary of economic empowerment projects identified across the sub-districts of the governorate’s districts.
The meeting reviewed projects aimed at expanding sheep and goat breeding and fattening, dairy production and its derivatives, the development of beekeeping and honey production, as well as small-scale industrial initiatives.
Participants also discussed the role of multi-purpose agricultural cooperative associations and other relevant entities in implementing these projects.
The attendees emphasized the importance of reviewing and refining the studies related to economic empowerment projects based on the meeting’s observations. They also stressed the need to align project implementation with value chains while taking into account the specific conditions of each area and its target beneficiaries.
Governor Al-Hadi highlighted the importance of moving forward with practical steps to implement the economic empowerment initiative and to build the capacity of targeted families. The aim is to improve their living standards and enable them to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to work and produce independently—thus supporting local production and enhancing food security.
He also noted the local authority’s commitment to ensuring that beneficiary families reach a level of productivity that enables them to break the cycle of unemployment and poverty.
