Public Works & Land Authority in Ibb hold event commemorating Al-Wilayah Day
[18/ June/2025]
Ibb - Saba:
The Public Works Office and the Land Authority branch in Ibb province organized a speech event on Wednesday commemorating Al-Wilayah Day, under the slogan "Whoever I am his Mawla, then Ali is his Mawla."

The event was attended by Shura Council member Akram Al-Sayyadi. Abdul Fattah Ghalab, the head of the General Mobilization in the province, emphasized that reviving this occasion reflects steadfastness on the Alawi-Muhammadi path and a strong connection to the values embodied by Imam Ali (peace be upon him).

Ghalab explained that Al-Wilayah Day is not merely a passing memory or a media spectacle, but a renewed pledge to follow the footsteps of the successor of the Messenger of God (peace be upon him and his family) and to recall his stances against tyrants and oppressors—especially amid current challenges that require adhering to his approach in standing with our brothers in Gaza and Iran to break American arrogance and Zionist insolence.

He highlighted the virtues of Imam Ali, his achievements in embodying divine values in conduct , stance, and his role in building the state and establishing justice. Ghalab stressed that Wilayah (allegiance) is a state of awareness and engagement with all the nation's issues from a Quranic perspective.

Meanwhile, Engineer Ibrahim Al-Shami, Director of the Public Works Office in the province, stated that Al-Wilayah Day represents the final declaration of the divine message during the Prophetic conference held for the Islamic nation at Ghadir Khumm after the pilgrims returned from the Farewell Hajj.

He pointed out that the Holy Quran links the fate of the nation to its adherence to the Wilayah of God, noting that the nation loses the effectiveness of the message and falls into darkness whenever the correct Wilayah —as understood in the Quran—is absent.

Al-Shami added that the current state of defeat and submission to tyrannical and arrogant forces is a result of abandoning the principle of Wilayah. He emphasized the nation's need to understand this principle, particularly as enemies seek to target it in every era, knowing full well its role in building the nation.

The event was attended by Engineer Zayed Badir, Director of the Land Authority in the province, as well as guidance officials Ahmed Al-Muhajir and Abdul Hakim Maqbil, the cultural sector official. Abdulmalik Al-Kubsi, Deputy Director of the Land Authority, discussed the status of Imam Ali (peace be upon him) and the importance of adhering to the principle of Wilayah within the framework of faith-based identity.

He stressed the significance of commemorating this occasion to instill faith-based concepts in the hearts and minds of successive generations. Al-Kubsi highlighted the need to draw lessons from the life of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), who exemplified a unique model of faith, justice, and sacrifice.
