Sana’a - SABA:

The Sam Foundation for Radio and Television Broadcasting condemned the blatant Israeli aggression that targeted the headquarters of Iranian Radio and Television in the capital, Tehran.

In a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the Foundation described the targeting of Iran’s broadcasting headquarters as a war crime and a flagrant violation of media freedom and the right of peoples to express their views. It affirmed its full solidarity with the Iranian Ministry of Information, and with the Islamic Republic of Iran—its people, army, and leadership—in the face of these criminal attacks.

The statement emphasized that such acts of aggression will not deter the Islamic nation from resisting occupation and confronting injustice. It praised the effective role of Iranian media, which demonstrated the strength and impact of Iran’s response, and its ability to highlight the resilience, unity, and alignment of the Iranian people with the leadership of the Islamic Revolution and the armed forces in firmly confronting the blatant Israeli aggression.

It also commended the role of the Iranian Ministry of Information, which succeeded in resuming the broadcast of Channel Six in a short time after the attack, reflecting the strength, professionalism, and high capabilities of media leadership in the brotherly Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Foundation paid tribute to the staff of Iranian Radio and Television, honoring their sacrifices in the path of truth, in conveying facts to the public, and in portraying the reality of unfolding events. It stressed that their sacrifices will not be forgotten and will remain a shining mark in the path of free and resistance-oriented media.

The statement expressed pride in Iran’s strong response to the Zionist aggression, viewing it as a victory for the Palestinian people and their just cause, a reinforcement of the sanctity of Islamic lands and dignity of the Ummah. It affirmed that Iran’s firm response reflects a commitment to justice, defense of sovereignty, and the unified stance of the Islamic Ummah in the face of aggression and oppression.

Finally, the Sam Foundation reaffirmed that any attack on media institutions is an attack on free speech, highlighting the importance of media efforts that uphold truth and defend the causes of the Ummah. It called on media institutions, international organizations, and human rights bodies to condemn such hostile acts and emphasize the need to protect journalists and media professionals.
