Israeli enemy media confirmed on Saturday that an Israeli soldier was killed and others were injured during clashes with the Palestinian resistance in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
Hebrew media reported that a soldier was killed and others were critically injured in a security incident in Gaza.
Al-Qassam Brigades announced earlier that they had carried out a complex ambush on Saturday afternoon, destroying two Israeli armored personnel carriers and detonating a minefield in a Zionist force, resulting in casualties and injuries east of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
The Brigades said in a statement, "al-Qassam Brigades fighters were able to carry out a complex ambush this afternoon, targeting enemy soldiers and vehicles from point zero on the supply line in al-Zana area, east of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip."
The statement added: "Our fighters were able to destroy two Zionist personnel carriers with two "Shawaz" explosive devices and a suicide bomb. Then, al-Qassam fighters advanced and killed one of the soldiers at point-blank range. Immediately after the rescue force arrived, it was targeted by detonating a pre-prepared minefield, killing and wounding members of the force. Our fighters monitored the landing of the helicopter for evacuation."
