Palestinian Journalists Syndicate condemns continued Israeli internet blackout in Gaza for fifth day
[14/ June/2025]
Ramallah – Saba:

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate condemned on Saturday the continued Israeli enemy internet blackout in the Gaza Strip for the fifth consecutive day.

In a statement, the Syndicate condemned the Israeli government's prevention of telecommunications company crews from repairing internet supply lines destroyed by Israeli shelling throughout the Strip, in addition to the significant difficulties in connecting via local networks, which significantly impacts communication.

The Syndicate considered this aggressive measure to be aimed at isolating the Gaza Strip from the outside world, particularly preventing journalists and media outlets from covering the ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people, with the most heinous daily massacres.

The Syndicate called on all international institutions, international media freedom and communications organizations, and journalists worldwide to expose this punitive measure and take serious and tangible steps against the criminal Zionist state.

It also called on all journalistic unions and associations to communicate with media outlets in their countries to cover this crime, which is yet another example of crimes against Palestinian journalists.

It's worth noting that the Israeli enemy has cut off communications and the internet to Gaza dozens of times during the genocide that has been ongoing for 21 months. The enemy forces have also committed the most heinous and largest massacre in the history of the world's media, claiming the lives of 226 journalists to date.
