The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting later on Friday following the Zionist aggression against Iran.
Iran's UN Ambassador Amir Saeed Iravani called for an immediate emergency meeting of the Security Council and for decisive action against the Zionist aggression against Iran.
Iravani strongly condemned the recent Zionist attacks on peaceful nuclear facilities and senior military officials in Tehran, according to Mehr News Agency.
In his message, he said: "The Zionist regime has carried out a reckless and illegal act through a series of coordinated military attacks against Iranian nuclear facilities and civilian infrastructure."
He considered these actions "a clear violation of the UN Charter and the fundamental principles of international law, and their dire consequences pose a serious threat to regional and international peace and security."
The Iranian representative stressed that "the Security Council and the Secretary-General of the United Nations are obligated to unequivocally condemn this blatant aggression and take immediate, decisive, and binding measures, in accordance with their responsibilities under the UN Charter, to hold the Zionist regime accountable for these crimes."
