Iraq has filed a complaint with the Security Council against the Zionist entity's violations of its airspace during its aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran on Friday.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, carried by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the Republic of Iraq submitted an official complaint to the UN Security Council, expressing its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Zionist entity's violation of Iraqi airspace and its use to carry out military attacks in the region."
The statement indicated that "the complaint confirmed that these practices constitute a flagrant violation of Iraq's sovereignty and a violation of the provisions of international law and the United Nations Charter, particularly the principles related to respect for the sovereignty of states and non-interference in their internal affairs."
Iraq called on "the Security Council to assume its legal and moral responsibilities, use its powers to deter the Zionist entity and prevent it from repeating such violations, and ensure respect for Iraq's sovereignty and territorial integrity, thus contributing to maintaining the security and stability of the region."
