Tehran – Saba:
The Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran issued a statement on Friday announcing that it has initiated the necessary defensive, political, and legal measures to make the Zionist entity regret its actions from this moment and deprive the Zionists of sleep. It considered starting a war with Iran to be like playing with a lion's tail.
The statement said: "The nighttime aggression launched by the Zionist entity against our homeland, Iran, which led to the martyrdom of our dear citizens, generals, and scholars, has proven that this illegitimate bastard entity does not abide by any international rules or laws. It openly and brazenly practices terrorism, like a drunkard, and ignites the flames of war before the eyes of the world, including Westerners who claim to respect human rights and international law."
The statement added: "Starting a war with Iran is like playing with a lion's tail. The cowardly nighttime operation carried out during the diplomatic process regarding the Iranian nuclear issue is evidence of this regime's fear of Iran's ability to convince the world and defend it, that we, the Iranians, have not waged any war over the past two hundred years, but we have not hesitated to defend our homeland and will not hesitate."
The statement emphasized: "Defending this homeland's soil, waters, and skies, its children, leaders, scholars, and all citizens, is the responsibility and duty of the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and its armed forces, and we will not retreat an inch from this."
It added: "We will avenge every one of our martyrs, and we will turn the violation of Iran's national sovereignty into the unforgivable sin of the Zionist regime." We also call on the UN Security Council to defend its reputation and standing in the face of the collapse of the international order, but we will not wait for these institutions. We emphasize the words of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution: "The powerful hand of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic will not abandon its country, God willing."
