Supreme Leader of the Iranian Armed Forces Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei issued a decree on Friday appointing Major General Mohammad Pakpour as the new Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The appointment follows Major General Pakpour’s promotion and comes after the martyrdom of former IRGC Commander-in-Chief Major General Hossein Salami, who was martyred in a Zionist aggression targeting Iran earlier this morning.
