Geneva - Saba:
The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that more than 10,000 people in the Gaza Strip need medical evacuation outside the Strip, in light of the continuing collapse of the health system as a result of the ongoing Israeli war.
The organization added in press statements last night that among the critical cases are cancer patients, serious injuries, and people suffering from chronic diseases requiring specialized care currently unavailable inside Gaza, warning that delaying their transfer poses a direct threat to their lives.
The organization called for the opening of safe humanitarian corridors and facilitating access to life-saving health care, stressing that the health system in Gaza is operating below capacity, with a severe shortage of medicines and medical supplies.
