Bayda governor Abdullah Idris on Wednesday affirmed the revolutionary and political leadership's commitment to completing the reopening of Aqabat Therah-Lawdar road for travelers.
During a meeting with the White Flag Peacemakers Team, governor Idris emphasized that the initiative to open this road, and all other roads, is a direct translation of directives from the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, and the President of the Supreme Political Council, Mahdi al-Mashat, aimed at alleviating the suffering of residents in Bayda and Abyan governorates.
He noted that war remnants have already been removed to facilitate the opening of Bayda-Abyan Road, and that only a response and opening from the "other party's side" remains.
Members of the White Flag team, including Alawi al-Hasani, Mohammed al-Jabri, Abdullah Naji, and Mujahid al-Masbahi, reviewed their coordination efforts to open all roads linking the governorates.
They praised the role of military and local leaders in supporting this humanitarian mission, which has already eased citizen movement and reduced suffering for large populations.
