A Palestinian child died Monday evening in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, due to famine and dehydration caused by the stifling Israeli blockade on the people of the Strip.
The Palestinian News Agency, Wafa, quoted medical sources as confirming that the child died in Khan Yunis Children's and Maternity Hospital due to malnutrition resulting from the famine in the besieged Strip.
They explained that thousands of children are suffering from symptoms of malnutrition due to the Israeli enemy blockade of the Gaza Strip, its closure of all crossings, and its prevention of the entry of basic materials and humanitarian aid, including food, water, medicine, and even fuel, for nearly 100 days.
In a previous statement, Director of Medical Relief in Southern Gaza Bassam Zaqout said that the Gaza Strip has become a place of death, with the famine rate reaching 100%.
Since the first hours of the devastating aggression perpetrated by the Israeli enemy army against the Gaza Strip, the weapon of starvation, particularly in northern Gaza, has been part of the crime of genocide, murder, siege, and destruction.
