Director General of Traffic Police Major General Dr. Bakil al-Barashi on Monday inspected the conditions of Taiz Traffic Police members on duty for Eid al-Adha and inaugurated a new modernization project for the Taiz Traffic Police worth 38 million YER implemented through self-support.
During his visit, accompanied by Colonel Yahya al-Maswari (Director of Command and Control), Colonel Mohammed Atef (Director of Ibb Traffic Police), and Brigadier General Fatik al-Shamsi (Director of Taiz Traffic Police), Dr. al-Barashi conveyed Eid greetings from the Ministry of Interior's leadership. He urged redoubled efforts to enhance performance and provide traffic services across the governorate.
Brigadier General al-Shamsi explained that the new project includes two buildings for administrative offices, precautionary detention, and a specialized training headquarters. Major General al-Barashi stressed the commitment to improving administrative and field performance and providing community services on roads.
Al-Barashi also reviewed the services provided by Taiz Traffic Police at Qasr al-Shaab roundabout in al-Hawban, noting their cooperation with local security, emergency, and military police to organize traffic flow. He praised the "qualitative shift" in Taiz Traffic Police's work, including modernization efforts and traffic deployment.
The Director General affirmed the General Directorate's support, providing a traffic crane, a patrol car, and several motorcycles, and contributing to furnishing the new buildings. Brigadier General al Shamsi expressed gratitude for the visit, highlighting its morale-boosting effect on the traffic police's service provision.
