Gaza - Saba:
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) revealed on Sunday that Gaza's healthcare system is on the verge of total collapse.
The ICRC said in a statement: "To avoid further loss of life, it is essential to preserve and strengthen the remaining healthcare facilities."
The ICRC explained that most of the casualties in recent incidents in Gaza were trying to reach aid distribution points.
The ICRC added, "Medical staff face a major challenge in saving lives under fire, threatening their safety and the continued operation of the field hospital."
It noted that the unprecedented rate of arrival of casualties has exhausted medical staff and strained their capabilities.
The ICRC continued, "The past few days have witnessed an escalation in hostilities around the few remaining hospitals in Gaza."
