Gaza – Saba:

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement on Sunday announced its mourning for the "martyrdom" of the Secretary-General of the Mujahideen Movement, "Mujahid leader Sheikh Asaad Attiya Abu Sharia," and his brother, "Mujahid leader Ahmed Attiya Abu Sharia."

Both were reportedly martyred, along with a significant number of their family members, in a "treacherous attack" by the Israeli "occupation army" on residential areas in Gaza City.

In a statement, the movement emphasized that the two "martyred Mujahid leaders, Asaad and Ahmed Abu Sharia, led a long journey of jihad, steadfastness, and sacrifice in confronting the occupation." The statement added that they "made many great sacrifices and demonstrated steadfastness, determination, and sincerity in fulfillment of their faith and in support of their people."

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement extended its deepest condolences to the Mujahideen Movement and to the families of the two "martyred leaders."

The statement concluded by affirming that "the targeting of the leaders by the criminal occupation army will only strengthen our people's steadfastness and determination to continue the path of resistance and defend our people and our land."
