Gaza– Saba:
Israeli enemy on Sunday released 12 Palestinian prisoners who had been detained by its forces during the ongoing aggression in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
The release follows months of detention where, according to the Prisoners' Information Office and Anadolu Agency, they allegedly faced torture, starvation, and medical neglect.
The Prisoners' Information Office stated that the 12 individuals from Gaza were transferred to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip. Anadolu Agency corroborated that the released prisoners had endured months in Israeli detention centers under harsh conditions.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) confirmed its role in facilitating the release, stating it "facilitated the release of 12 prisoners and their transfer from Kissufim crossing point (southeast) to al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital." The ICRC added that it regularly supports the transfer of released detainees to Gaza from various crossings, providing medical examinations, clothing, and personal hygiene items upon their arrival.
Palestinian sources frequently report that Israeli authorities detain Palestinians without stated justification during the ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip
