The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning forecasts diverse weather conditions across Yemen for the next 24 hours, including clear to partly cloudy skies, hot temperatures, and potential rainfall in various regions.
According to the center's bulletin, highland areas can expect clear to partly cloudy weather with a chance of scattered rain, occasionally accompanied by thunder, in parts of Ibb, Taiz, Dhamar, Raymah, Amran, Hajjah, Mahweet, and the western regions of Sa'ada and Sana'a.
For the Socotra Archipelago and parts of the eastern coast, clear to partly cloudy, hot, and humid conditions are likely, with the possibility of light rain. Winds in these areas are expected to be moderate to active, ranging from 12 to 25 knots.
Around the Socotra Archipelago specifically, winds will be strong to very strong, between 18 and 28 knots, with gusts reaching up to 38 knots, leading to rough seas and high waves.
Desert areas will experience sunny, hot to very hot, and dry conditions, with maximum temperatures ranging between 38 and 43 degrees Celsius. Winds will be moderate, occasionally active.
The center issued warnings to seagoers, fishermen, and ship captains regarding rough seas and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago and the eastern coasts.
It also advised against being in or crossing floodwaters during and after rainfall. Furthermore, the public was cautioned about the hot to extremely hot weather, recommending the use of sun umbrellas, avoiding direct sunlight during the afternoon, and consuming ample fluids.
