The city of al-Quds is witnessing widespread calls to participate in a popular demonstration in front of the Israeli Magistrate's Court on Sunday.
This demonstration is in solidarity with the family of the martyr Fouad Alian from the town of Beit Safafa, and in support of their demand to punish the settlers involved in his murder.
According to the Palestinian Safa News Agency, the family, along with human rights and community organizations, is demanding a transparent investigation and bringing the perpetrators to justice, warning against attempts to cover up the crime.
This protest comes amid escalating settler attacks on Palestinians in al-Quds, with the complicity of the occupation authorities.
Alian was martyred last May after being deliberately run over three times by a settler. His cousin sustained moderate injuries in the same attack, which occurred in Katamon Park in al-Quds, following a chase and assault.
A Maqdeseyan report documented 39 attacks carried out by settler groups against Maqdeseyans in May.
