Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has asserted that if Islamic countries had united, the Zionist regime would not have been able or dared to commit "horrific and heinous crimes against the oppressed Palestinian people and the resilient people of Gaza.
According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, Pezeshkian made these remarks during a phone call with the Algerian President, whom he congratulated on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
During the call, President Pezeshkian described the Hajj ritual and the large gathering of Muslims as a unique manifestation of Islamic unity. He expressed hope that the messages of Eid would strengthen brotherhood and solidarity among Muslims and foster relations among Islamic countries.
Pezeshkian called for peace, stability, and reassurance among all Islamic nations. He also expressed deep sympathy for the oppressed people of Gaza and the resistance fighters, who are subjected to "the most heinous inhuman crimes perpetrated by the Zionist enemy entity, praying for their salvation and liberation.
