Jericho - Saba:
Zionist settlers attacked residents of the Al-Auja Waterfall community, north of Jericho, on Saturday morning.
Hassan Malihat, General Supervisor of al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Palestinian Bedouin Rights, stated that the settlers surrounded al-Amrein family, one of the families living at the closest point of contact with the settlements.
He added, "Today we are witnessing a new attack in a series of violations aimed at intimidating the Bedouin population and forcibly displacing them from their lands for the benefit of settlement expansion."
Malihat warned that what is happening in al-Auja is not an isolated incident, but rather part of a systematic policy pursued by the Israeli occupation authorities and settlers against Bedouin communities in the Jordan Valley.
He warned that the situation will deteriorate if urgent intervention is not taken.
