The Russian Foreign Ministry confirmed on Thursday that another opportunity to halt the brutal bloodshed and famine in Gaza has been lost due to the United States' veto of a ceasefire resolution.
In a statement reported by Russia's Sputnik agency, the ministry stated:
"The American side has effectively rejected its own plan for a deal between Israel and Hamas, developed in coordination with Egyptian and Qatari mediators."
