Ramallah - Saba:
The Ma'ati Palestine Information Center has monitored a total of (7,180) Zionist violations during the month of May, as enemy forces and settlers continued to commit serious violations against Palestinians and their property in the West Bank and al-Quds during May 2025, in a blatant violation of human rights and international humanitarian law.
Ma'ati said in a statement issued on Wednesday, that the Israeli killing machine continued to target Palestinians, as (18) citizens were martyred in the West Bank and al-Quds, and (219) others were injured with varying degrees of injury, including women, children, and the elderly.
Meanwhile, (333) shootings were recorded by enemy soldiers and settlers. In the city of Jenin and its camp, the Israeli military operation has continued since January 21, entering its fifth month.
By the end of May, it had resulted in the deaths of (45) Palestinians, while more than (22) thousand, representing approximately 23% of the city's population, were displaced. Approximately 90% of the camp's population was forcibly displaced.
The camp's infrastructure was almost completely destroyed, with 60% of the city's infrastructure damaged, in addition to the destruction of 120 kilometers of roads, 42 kilometers of water lines, and 99 kilometers of sewage networks.
Enemy forces also completely demolished (600) homes, while the rest were partially damaged and rendered uninhabitable. The Jenin Municipality estimated the material losses resulting from the aggression at approximately $310 million.
In light of the ongoing siege, the camp is experiencing a near-total interruption of water and electricity, and a severe shortage of food and basic necessities, especially for children, amid warnings of an impending humanitarian disaster.
The military operations have also led to the suspension of education and health services, exacerbating the suffering of thousands of families. The Ma'ti Center documented the arrest and detention of (374) Palestinians from Jenin and its camp, in addition to subjecting dozens to field investigations. Israeli forces carried out (1,177) raids and (15) airstrikes targeting various areas of the city and camp.
In the city of Tulkarm and its two camps (Tulkarm and Nur Shams), (13) Palestinians were killed as a result of the ongoing shelling and clashes. The escalation led to the displacement of more than 25,000 Palestinians, including 12,000 from Tulkarm camp and 13,000 from Nur Shams camp—approximately 90% of the population of the two camps.
The infrastructure was also subjected to widespread bombing and destruction, and the occupation forces prevented municipal and civil defense teams from reaching the affected areas. Essential services, including electricity, water, and communications, were cut off.
The enemy forces completely demolished or destroyed (689) homes and facilities, while (2,573) other facilities were partially damaged. (396) Palestinians were arrested during the incursion, in addition to carrying out (1,604) raids on civilian homes.
In occupied al-Quds, May began with the storming of al-Aqsa Mosque by (515) settlers on the occasion of the so-called "Israeli Independence Day." It concluded with a mass incursion involving (2,092) settlers on the so-called "al-Quds Unification Day."
During the month, the mosque witnessed the storming of (6,728) settlers, the highest number since the beginning of the year. Meanwhile, the most serious violations were recorded on May 12, when settlers stormed the mosque from al-Ghawanmeh Gate and brought in an animal sacrifice with the intention of slaughtering it inside the courtyards, a dangerous precedent since 1967.
The enemy forces also executed a Palestinian boy on the steps of al-Aqsa Mosque, and a settler ran over a young Maqdasi to death. During the month, the enemy forces carried out (1,282) raids and incursions in the cities, camps, towns, and villages of the West Bank, destroying many homes and their contents, and arresting (641) Palestinians.
In addition, (295) homes and facilities were demolished, including (52) homes that were completely destroyed.
The enemy authorities continued to implement extensive settlement plans, with the number of settlement activities reaching (73) activities, including the confiscation and leveling of lands, the construction of roads, and the approval of the construction of new settlement units.
Meanwhile, settlers committed (406) attacks against Palestinians. (34) cases of attacks on places of worship and holy sites were also recorded, and (1557) roads and areas were closed, in addition to (899) cases of restrictions on fixed and temporary checkpoints spread in different areas of the West Bank and al-Quds, which exacerbated the daily suffering of citizens, and led to the isolation of entire communities, in the context of the policy of tightening the noose pursued by the enemy.
